Why do we need the ASA?
We need the ASA to protect people from potential offence from adverts and to prevent those who are easily influenced, for example children, from being exposed to potentially dangerous or influential texts. We need the ASA to ensure the ads we are exposed to are legal, decent, honest and truthful so as to make sure companies are not dishonestly advertising their products to the public.
