Main Task - Film Poster

My first design:

My poster would have a black background, pale grey text and the main image would be in black and white, aside from the writing on the hand ("RUN"), which would be blood red. I took inspiration for this from the poster for the horror film 'Beneath', pictured below, as I like the air of mystery the poster creates about the film.

Tagline Ideas:
- Idea 1 = "In a sea of lost souls, what happens when one breaks the surface?"
This idea creates an air of mystery and suspense around the film, as it doesn't give a lot away about the plot line and entices the viewer. The only drawback is that it doesn't directly link to the horror genre, but combined with my image, the link would be clear.

- Idea 2 = "The Invisible Man isn't as friendly as you'd like..."
This idea is very good for context, as it directly informs the audience that the film is about a dangerous invisible entity. It also eludes to the horror genre and combined with my main image, would hopefully draw the attention of my target audience. However, it doesn't leave much to the imagination and it's very cheesy and would probably physically repulse anyone who reads it.

- Idea 3 = "When you can't see the killer, how can you survive?"
This idea incites fear in the viewer as it questions the likelihood of their survival, with the personal pronoun targeting the audience member specifically. This is brilliant as it immediately tells the viewer that my poster is for a horror film. On the other hand, it could demoralise the viewer which, in turn, could put them off watching my film.

After brainstorming, I feel that idea 3 would be best for my poster, as the rhetorical question engages the viewer and it is clear from the tagline alone that the genre of the film advertised is horror. Additionally, it creates an atmosphere of fear, suspense and mystery, which is what I want to achieve from my poster.
