From my trailer analyses, I have learnt that horror trailers never give too much of the storyline away, but still contain enough to keep the viewer intrigued. They also contain lots of short shots and quick cuts/crosscuts that increase in speed as the trailer goes on, building tension and keeping the trailer at a fast pace. Additionally, I learnt about the conventions of the horror genre and a few techniques on how to make sure my trailer is of a high standard.
